Adventure

Before we get covered in snow for the whole winter, I would like to go on at least one more hiking adventure. Tamolitch Pool on the McKenzie River Trail is my favorite place in Oregon, it never ceases to amaze me! But maybe this time I will take my family to Opal Creek. Nahid showed us pictures from her trip and it looked incredible. Also, my brother is a photographer and he thought Opal Creek would be well worth the drive.

Exchange Student

Our family just found out a week ago that we are going to be able to host an exchange student from Finland for four months! We had an exchange student from Vienna, Austria for one month over the summer and it was so much fun! All of us loved being tourists in our own state. It is very rare for our family to go on trips over the weekend and having an exchange student really made us get outside and enjoy the outdoors. The student who will be living with is so fun to hang out with and I am so excited to share some of our culture. This is his first time visiting the US and it could not be more perfect because I have to say I think he speaks English better than we do haha.

College Degree

Right now I am sitting on my computer trying to decide what degree I am going to pursue for my two years at COCC. At first I was going to go with the Pharmacy Tech one year certificate, get a good paying job and then go from there. Now I have different thoughts, maybe the AAOT or Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer degree is the way to go. After two years I hope I will know what I want to do and I wont ever have to start from the beginning again.
